At the Royal Danish Academy - Architecture, Design, Conservation, three permanent positions as student assistants are available at our Campus in Nexø, where our bachelor’s programme Crafts in Glass and Ceramics is located.

We are looking for service-minded student assistants who will be working with several different tasks at the campus. You will get to collaborate with the Institute Coordinator, Eydna Bjarnason and the other student assistants.

The positions are available as soon as possible.



About the positions

Position 1 and 2:

The average weekly working hours in this position will be 11 hours, and will include the following tasks:

  • A variety of practical tasks, such as: Cleaning, preparing rooms, flag shifts on specific days, tours, catering and locking doors at the school in the evenings.
  • Practical tasks at the library on Nexø’ Campus, supporting and coordinating together with the library on Campus Holmen.
  • Support technology instructors at the workshops with practical tasks.
  • Support institute coordinator with social media.
  • Support institute coordinator with preparing for guest teachers, exhibitions, and events at campus.
Position 3:

The average weekly working hours in this position will be 5 hours, and will include the following tasks:

  • A variety of practical tasks, such as; Cleaning, preparing rooms, flag shifts on specific days, tours, catering and locking doors at the school in the evenings.


We are looking for students who:

  • are responsible and work independently
  • are service minded and not afraid to take action
  • have an eye for details and follow up on all tasks until completion
  • are proficient with Indesign, Adobe and the Microsoft office package
Furthermore, we expect applicants for “position 1 and 2” to possess good communication skills in both Danish and English.



For both positions working hours and tasks are agreed at a weekly meeting with the institute coordinator.

The tasks will be of varying scope. You will have some influence on your own working time, but the work will primarily take place on weekdays between 15:00 – 21:00 and weekends.

Experience from similar jobs is an advantage.



Wages and conditions of employment

Employment and remuneration will be made in accordance with the collective agreement (OAO-S) and organizational agreement between The Danish Ministry of Taxation (Skatteministeriet) and HK/STAT.

You are required to be an active student and enrolled at a higher education institution during your employment.

In periods with more activities the working hours per week may be higher than stated. The working hours will be placed in agreement with the institute coordinator.

The salary is in accordance with ‘Ny Løn’ where the basic hourly salary is kr. 132,84 at the current level (October 1, 2023). Pension will be according to seniority.
